Down Style Demister Pads

There are five different types of metal Demister pads available: flat, curved, framed, long and half-circle. These pads are generally used in automotive, marine and commercial applications, as they provide superior de-fogging performance, durability and installation ease compared to other materials.

The flat metal Demister pad is the most commonly used style, as it is designed to evenly distribute heat generated by the headlamps and windscreen heating elements. It is usually constructed from a single stainless steel plate, which is cut to size and then mounted onto the vehicle's windscreen or other surface. The curved pad is similar in its design, but with an additional bend at the edges to reduce distortion in the reflection of the light.

The framed metal Demister pad is constructed from two panels, with the internal panel being perforated to allow air to flow between them. This style is known for its strength and resistance to extreme temperatures and vibration. Its edges are often bent outward at a slight angle to create a more aesthetically pleasing look.

The long metal Demister pad is used when a larger space needs to be covered, such as a windscreen or side window of a commercial truck. This style is composed of several joined panels and is usually mounted either horizontally or vertically around the glass.

Finally, the half-circle metal Demister pad is the most stylish of the group, as its curved shape provides a more contemporary feel. It consists of two panels connected together through an arc-shaped joint, available in several sizes for different uses.

Metal Demister pads offer a range of advantages over other materials, including increased durability, fast heat diffusion, resistance to high temperatures and UV radiation, and low power consumption. They are also highly customizable and cost effective, regardless of the application.
