Demister Pads

Demister pads are a type of mesh pad used for removing water and oil droplets suspended in air or other gases. They offer an efficient solution for efficiently trapping, separating, or coalescing gas or liquid particles from process streams. Popular materials for demister pads include stainless steel, copper, galvanized steel, MONEL, and other combinations of these materials. The material selected depends on the application.

Demister pads come in a variety of shapes, including discs, rectangles, and circular tubes. Depending on the application, they can be made as flat pads, tubes, or combination pads. Porosity plays a major role in choosing the right demister pad, with the ability to filter out dust particles of between 0.1 and 5 microns, depending on the material.

Demister pads are typically used in the oil and gas industry, and they provide many advantages such as boasting a very low pressure drop, providing excellent flow capacity, and reducing the possibility of clogging. In addition, they provide stable performance even in highly corrosive environments due to their superior resistance.

Demister pads are easy to install and require minimal maintenance. They are designed for long-term performance and can be used for a variety of applications such as oil/water separators, disengagement basins, scrubbing chambers, etc. When installed correctly and maintained properly, demister pads can provide years of reliable service in your oil and gas operations.

Copper demister pads are mesh pads made from copper mesh and wire that are commonly used in the oil industry. These pads are used to reduce the droplets of liquid or gas suspended in air or other gases, providing an efficient solution for removing suspended particles such as water vapor, droplets of oil and other gaseous material from process streams. Copper demister pads are ideal for low flow applications where high efficiency and superior performance are required. They are specifically designed for use in separators, condensers and other oilfield applications, and are especially well-suited for the removal of heavy-end hydrocarbons from vapor. Copper demister pads come in a variety of sizes and porosities and can be configured to meet specific requirements. They are also easy to install and maintain, with minimal maintenance and upkeep needed.

Galvanized steel demister pads are widely used in many industries and applications due to their high efficiency, durability, and long life spans. They are commonly used for dust collection, liquid/gas separation, oil mist elimination, and condensate removal. These pads are corrosion-resistant and have excellent mechanical properties, making them an ideal choice for many applications. Compared to stainless steel, galvanized steel demister pads are typically more cost-effective and generally available in larger diameters.

Demister Pads, also known as Mist Eliminator, Mist Screen and Socks, are manufactured according to customer's specifications.

A demister or mist eliminator is an entrainment separator used for efficient entrainment of liquids or mist removal in any Liquid - Gas / Vapor processing operation. It is a tailor-made product specially designed and manufactured out of knitted wires. When properly applied, it can achieve 99.97% separation of entrapped liquid in a vapor stream.

Demisters are utilized in petroleum refining, petrochemical industry, gas chemistry, synthetic chemistry, salt and sugar manufacturing and other chemical industries. They are also employed in packed towers, dust arrestors and air filters in various enterprises, or for chemical-reaction acceleration by painting the filament surfaces with catalyst (in both separation and reaction). Other applications include the special gasket in cabinets of electronics instruments and vibration and sound insulation.
