Strainer demister pads are used to ensure that liquids and gases flow freely through the strainer. This filter element is made from mesh materials designed with a specific pore size and mesh opening size. Depending on the application, the mesh material ranges from steel, stainless steel, PVC, Polypropylene to other synthetic materials.

Strainer demisters provide a higher level of removal efficiency than traditional demisters, including removing smaller particles from the process stream. The pad is designed with a high collection efficiency for droplet and aerosol removal, even when the process gas carries entrained liquid particles. This type of pad is particularly suitable for aggressive service applications.

Applications

Strainer demister pads are usually used in high-temperature and pressure applications, such as refineries, power stations, chemical plants, fertilizer manufacturing and petrochemical plants. They are also used in processes including amines, LPG, steam and boilers, cryogenics, air separation, and other related operations.

Generally speaking, these strainer pads are available in a range of sizes, ranging from several inches to over six feet in length and width. Most commonly, the pad thickness ranges up to 4 inches. Can be customized or cut to fit your specific needs.
